Brooklyn based hip-hop artist Lemon spins his version of the coming-of-age memoir with this jarring and poignant performance. Lemon’s unique voice seamlessly flows from hard-edged drama to urban poetry, creating a vivid portrait of his difficult yet at times humorous experiences growing up in New York City during the birth of hip-hop. COUNTY OF KINGS is a true story of finding passion and purpose in life, against all odds.

Lemon is a regular on HBO’s Def Poetry, an original cast member and writer of the TONY award winning Def Poetry Jam on Broadway and a Drama Desk nominee.

Running time: 90 minutes.

Seating is general admission for all UTR shows at The Public. Seats are available on a first-come, first served basis. Service fees apply for phone and online orders. Latecomers are seated at the discretion of house management, so arrive early.

Saturday, January 17 3:00pm
Sunday, January 18 7:00pm

It made me laugh, it made me cry. I am soooo proud of Lemon. He holds audiences captive for 90 minutes and takes them with him on his journey from a young boy in Brooklyn to a man. The first time I saw the beautiful struggle at Joe's Pub it was great, but the show has elevated so much more now. You will enjoy the ride Lemon takes you on and can connect with him in many ways. The plethra of characters he portrays is nothing short of genius and might I add hilarious. I highly recommend you go check it out at the Public Theater. It's an amazing show. =) Love ya Lem!!!

Talented ladies singing Beyonce's Halo

The Bowens (First Love)

By: Hectah

Grand Central Prank,,So Cool

That Look,,,,

Everybody I think wants to be looked at like this, and to look at someone the same way.

Halo

Remember those walls I built
Well baby they're tumbling down
And they didn't even put up a fight
They didn't even make a sound
I found a way to let you in
But I never really had a doubt
Standing in the light of your halo
I got my angel now

It's like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin'
It's the risk that I'm takin'
I ain't never gonna shut you out

Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo
I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo
Woah...

Hit me like a ray of sun
Burning through my darkest night
You're the only one that I want
Think I'm addicted to your light
I swore I'd never fall again
But this don't even feel like falling
Gravity can't forget
To pull me to the ground again

Feels like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin'
The risk that I'm takin'
I'm never gonna shut you out

Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo
I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo
I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo)

Halooooo ouuuu
Halooooo ouuuu
Halooooo ouuuu
Ouuuuu ouuuuu ouuuuu

Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo
I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo
I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo
I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo

I Did the Roller Coaster Scream!

Check it out!!! It was good. The special effects I must admit were really good. One of the better scary movies I've seen in a long time.

Get in shape in 09" in 4 minutes

I'm definitely gettin on this!!!

2009!

It's been a while, I know I know, don't kill me. I did lots and lots,,and lots,, of celebrating this holiday season. I enjoyed every minute of it and am happy to get 2009 poppin' off. I wonder if it's really true that you can just start fresh,,let the last year of your life go and just start a new chapter; whether it was good or bad. I guess it stays with you either way as experiences that can only make you stronger. And I'm soo thinking optimistically right now. I hope this is true. To not make the same mistakes, fall into the same patterns, but always elevating yourself to the next level. Time freakin fly's. Especially in the industry I'm in,,one day kind of seeps into the next and weeks can seem to pass me by. Soon spring will be upon us and my plan is to have accomplished what I'm setting out to in the next 6 months. But as much as I want to plan for the future, or as far into the future is possible for me to, I'll enjoy everyday as it comes and everyone who happens to cross my path that day. ;)
